Europe; my functions in the tech support arena consisted in
managing a team of 7 "internal" engineers spread
across Europe, several "external" engineers from
other companies and the L2 call centre, located in Albenga too,
managing prioritization of calls and day to day problems of
field engineers and customers alike.
Also I performed on site
interventions when the situation was critical or the customer

09/2001 to 03/2002 Training

Responsible for the training
department of Allied Telesyn International, the position
initially foresaw also the role of trainer, but unfortunately
this aspect had to be weeded out as a consequence of the great
effort that had to be put into the restructuration of the
training dept. During my work as Training Manager I worked in a
joint team with marketing, in UK and developement, in NZ, in
order to renew and expand the courses portfolio, revising and
updating related documentation and incorporating new features
and enhancements. On this role I got involved also in Technical
Support and Testing matters, this side eventually grew
predominant in my everyday task list so I had to hire new staff
to supplement the growth and to nominate a new training manager
to replace me.
